The American Tactical GSG-16 is a semi-automatic .22 LR rifle with a smoke gray finish and a 16.25-inch barrel. Its listed weight is 5.84 pounds, and the overall length is 28.5 inches. The collapsible synthetic stock extends to about 34.25 inches and stores an extra magazine. The receiver is polymer, and the rifle includes one 22-round magazine.

This is a rimfire rifle for plinking, training and steady range practice, where low-cost .22 LR ammunition keeps shooting affordable. The adjustable stock fits shooters of different sizes, and the MLOK-style handguard with Picatinny rails takes accessories such as a light or a grip. The ambidextrous charging handle and manual safety work for left- and right-handed shooters. Buying it follows the same federal steps as any firearm: a dealer, Form 4473 and a background check.
